Fire discussion: A total of 16 large fires are burning
1,010,720 acres throughout the country. The majority of the fire activity
remains in the West.
Weather
discussion: Thunderstorms are predicted today over northern
California, Oregon, Idaho, western Montana, and Wyoming. Windy conditions
will continue over the southern Sierras, Nevada, and Utah.

Cascade
Complex (Boise National Forest): 296,576 acres at 30
percent contained. This complex is 27 miles east of Cascade. Structures,
power lines, cultural sites, and historical cabins continue to
be threatened. Evacuations and road closures remain in place.

East
Zone Complex (Payette National Forest): 287,357 acres
at an unknown percent contained. This complex is made up of four
fires, 25 miles northeast of McCall. Structures are threatened
and road closures are in effect.

Rattlesnake
(Nez Perce National Forest): 101,200 acres at 25 percent contained.
This fire is 25 miles south of Elk City. Minimal fire activity
was reported.

Krassel Complex (Payette National Forest): 80,006
acres. This Wildland Fire Use (WFU) complex is being managed to
accomplish natural resource objectives. This complex is 44 miles
