Donations still sought for administrative workshop

Administrative support staff from throughout Idaho will assemble Sept. 27 for the 20th annual professional development workshop at the Nazareth Center in Boise.

This year’s theme, Spread Your Wings, appropriately focuses on career advancement and networking, according to members of the organizing committee. The day-long event includes team-building activities, formal presentations, door prizes and a luncheon.

To make the workshop more successful and rewarding for participants, organizers have arranged for donations of door prizes – homemade or purchased items. ITD employees and outside contributors have been generous in supporting the process, but additional items still are needed said Carla Anderson, an administrative assistant with the Right of Way section and chair of this year’s event.

Anyone who would like to provide a door prize or other items to be given away during the workshop can contact Anderson or any of the following members of the organizing committee:

  • Leah Nichols, Vehicle Services
  • Deborah Dorius, Office of Highway Operations and Safety (OHOS)
  • Diane Smith, Roadway Design
  • Judie Cahoon, Division of Motor Vehicles
  • Janie Stilwell, Highway Operations
  • Karen Foster, Driver Services

Workshop registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the formal program will start at 8:30 a.m. with a welcome and introductions by Anderson and a brief message by ITD Director Pam Lowe. The remainder of the agenda is:
