“Our Mission. Your Mobility.” Clear, concise and direct, the four words were chosen recently to serve as ITD’s mission statement. They remind employees and the public that our fundamental principle as a state department is to ensure mobility options. “Our mission statement builds on concepts first identified by our comprehensive visioning process, “ Idaho’s Transportation Vision: Getting There Together,” explains ITD Director Pam Lowe. “The mission clearly reflects the priorities that emerged from the visioning process and will serve as a foundation for everything we do – ensuring the mobility of Idahoans.” ITD’s Strategic Planning Team met regularly between June and November to complete a department mission, vision and strategic plan. The team included Lowe, Scott Stokes, Steve Hutchinson, Sue Higgins, Julie Pipal, Dave Tolman, Marty Montgomery (succeeded by Randy Kyrias), JV DeThomas, Alan Frew, Matt Moore, Devin Rigby, Jeff Stratten, Mary Harker and Carri Rosti. Members of the four quality management teams are:

Drafts will be presented to the Idaho Transportation Board in April and refined and delivered in final form to the board next June. They will be incorporated in ITD’s 2009 Strategic Plan and reported to the Division of Financial Management. Published 12-21-07 |
