Considering a career in engineering? Know of someone else with the aptitude and interest? Opportunities available in the engineering field will be explored Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the fourth annual Boise State University “Discover Engineering (see flyer). Sponsors have planned a family day that offers a number of hands-on activities for everyone – for ages 8 months to 100 years young, according to a BSU announcement. “The best part is that it’s free,” explains student coordinator Leandra Aburusa-Lete of the BSU College of Engineering. The desire of the sponsors, she explains, is to introduce families to the many fields of engineering and the excitement that comes from being able to learn and play together. The event also provides the opportunity to visit with learn from engineers. Activities are planned at three campus locations: the Engineering & Technology Building, Student Union Building, and Kinesiology Building (Block Fest for ages 8 months to 8 years).
