ITD selects GARVEE Program engineer,
public involvement coordinator

ITD recently filled two positions that have statewide responsibilities.

Amy Schroeder was named the new GARVEE Program Engineer, effective Feb. 10, and Adam Rush was chosen to be ITD’s public involvement coordinator.

“Amy brings an excellent knowledge of development procedures and the GARVEE Program to this position,” said Jason Brinkman, the GARVEE Program manager. “She will continue to be a real asset in this challenging endeavor.

“Please support Amy in her new role in the GARVEE Program Office.”

Public Information Officer Jeff Stratten announced the selection of Rush on Feb. 6. Rush replaces Gwen Smith who recently retired.

He joined ITD in 2006 as a public information specialist for District 3 and played an important role in assisting Smith with public meetings in the district. He also wrote news releases, managed media interviews, arranged special events and responded to questions from the public and news media.

Before joining the department’s Office of Communications staff, Rush was a reporter for The Associated Press in Boise and for the Idaho Press Tribune in Nampa, where he covered issues related to transportation, growth and the Legislature.

“Please don’t hesitate to contact him at 334-4444 or at adam.rush@itd.idaho.gov " Stratten said.
