Show your appreciation for each other – play ball ITD employees are invited to have a ball, literally, during the annual State Employees Appreciation activities May 10 in Boise. The first of what is planned to be an annual State of Idaho Employees slow-pitch co-ed softball tournament will be played at the Willow Lane Athletic Complex in Boise. The one-day tournament will be limited to the first 16 teams from state agencies that sign up. Agencies can enter more than one team if there are not 16 individual agencies represented. The cost for the double-elimination tournament is $150 per team. The tournament will include up to four games for each team and will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The winner will receive a rotating plaque to keep for the year; members of the winning team will receive championship T-shirts. Organizers ask that teams be composed of state employees only and be limited to 12 players, with equal representation of men and women. Teams will receive one framed photograph and photo(s) on a compact disc. For information about the tournament, call Tony Pirc at the Division of Building Safety, 332-8995.
