Nominations accepted for transportation awards ITD’s Excellence in Transportation award program will formally recognize transportation-related projects from throughout the state during a June 26 ceremony in Boise. Successful projects will demonstrate innovation, context sensitive solutions, community and public involvement, partnerships and collaboration, quality of user experience and safety, maintenance and operations. Any company or public agency engaged in transportation-related projects in Idaho is eligible for consideration. Projects must have been completed in the last three calendar years (including the current year). Previously nominated projects can be resubmitted if they were completed during that time period. Past winners are not eligible again. Two awards will be presented in each of five categories: transportation planning, environmental stewardship, public participation, design and construction. ITD’s Excellence in Transportation Award program recognizes outstanding initiatives to develop, plan and implement transportation projects throughout the state. A panel of qualified and experienced judges who represent the transportation industry will judge entries.
