Public Transportation announces 'coaches'
to serve as district contacts

Randy Kyrias, administrator of ITD’s Public Transportation Division, this week announced the selection of the first team of “coaches” for the new District Coordination Council.

The council is part of Idaho’s Mobility Access Pathway (IMAP) that governs the future of public transportation. Coaches will serve as a point of contact on issues related to the Local Mobility Management (LMM) Network and District Mobility Management (DMM) Network mobility planning and coordination effort, Kyrias explains.

Volunteers include:

District 1 – Susan Kiebert
District 2 – Marsha Bracke (temporary)
District 3 – Marty Montgomery
District 4 – Marsha Bracke (temporary)
District 5 – Ken Bullock
District 6 – Bill Shaw

In addition to serving as the district contact person, the coaches will:

  • Equitably acknowledge and accommodate all of the different perspectives and interests throughout the District in LMM and DMM mobility planning and coordination.
  • Encourage individuals district-wide to become involved in the planning and coordination process.
  • Promote and encourage participation in the six DCC groups, helping to ensure that a broad and diverse range of perspectives is represented at the table.
  • Participate in and provide guidance in the development and selection process for the six DCC groups.
  • Serve as a point of contact between the six DCC groups and the ITD Division of Public Transportation

Bracke volunteered to serve as the representative for districts 2 and 4 until permanent coaches are identified.
