Public hearing guide for I-84 receives marketing award

The Interstate-84, Orchard to Gowen Hearing Guide received a Platinum Award, the highest honor from the MarCom Awards, in the category of Brochure/Consumer Awareness. The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, an organization of several thousand creative professionals, administers the awards.

The piece was written and designed by ITD sub-consultant, Lynda Friesz Public Relations, Inc. as part of the transportation department’s strategy to improve public involvement by providing meaningful information to potential hearing attendees.

Several other transportation department pieces also received awards.

There were Gold Awards for the I-15 Environmental Study Brochure, and the I-84 Karcher Interchange to Five Mile Environmental Study Media Kit, and an Honorable Mention for the U.S. Council Alternate Route Newsletter.
