Camp attracts e-Girls to engineering field

Michelle George,
ITD Human Resources

Thank you for your participation and support of the fourth annual e-Girls camp on June 13th and 14th. We appreciate your time and enthusiasm in promoting technical careers to young women. This event was a great success, thanks to your support.

We are committed to tracking the e-Girls participants and found that 26 girls were eligible to enroll in college during the fall of 2007. We were pleased to find that 10 of these girls enrolled in technical fields within the College of Engineering at Boise State University, and three are pursuing technical fields at other universities.

As dean, I am committed to providing opportunities for future engineers and am grateful that you joined me in this important work. We at Boise State University look forward to hosting e-Girls in 2009.

Cheryl B. Schrader, Ph.D.
Dean, College of Engineering
Boise State University
