New RideShare participants offered chance to win
Hawaii trip, Washington weekend, cash cards

Folks who are weary of traffic congestion and travel delays may have two options for escaping the stressful commutes, explains Nicole Stern of Ada County Highway District’s Commuteride program.

ACHD and the Washington State RideShare organization are promoting a six-week program to get match solo drivers who have similar points of origin, similar destinations and similar work schedules.

The promotion began Monday (Aug. 4) and continues through Sept. 12. Employees could win one of several fun prizes for participating in the alternative transportation program:

  • A vacation for two to Hawaii, including seven days and six nights
  • A three-day/two-night “get away weekend” for two to Suncadia Resort in Roslyn, Wash.
  • A $500 MasterCard gift card

As a bonus each week, new registrants or returning registrants will be eligible to win a $100 MasterCard gift card.

How to enter
Employees simply log on to www.RideshareOnline.com to find a carpool partner with whom they can share the ride, or call 345-pool in the Treasure Valley. To be eligible for the prize drawing, participants must be carpooling or vanpooling to work at least two days per week during the promotional period.

If an employee is vanpooling he or she must be registered in rideshareOnline.com to be eligible. Prizes will be awarded to people selected in a random drawing who meet the eligibility requirements. The drawing will be Sept. 26.

Official rules and information for the “Goodbye traffic, ALOHA tropical beaches” contest, visit the Web site: http://www/RidesharezOnline.com. Questions also may be directed to Commuteride at 345-POO, or contact Annette Harper at aarper@achd.ada.id.us or Nichole Stern at nstern@achd.ada.id.us .
