Going extra mile to help secure funding

Jim Carpenter
District 2 Engineer

I would like to express the appreciation of the city of Moscow for the way that you and your staff have gone the extra mile in your efforts to assist us in securing funding for the “D” Street Pathway project. The quick, yet thorough, plan review we received from District 2 was instrumental to our success in submitting the plans, specs, and estimate earlier than would otherwise have been possible.

This project is extremely important to the city, as it will provide a save, multi-modal link between two residential neighborhoods and McDonald Elementary School, Moscow Junior High School, and several youth recreation facilities.

You and your staff, including Ken Helm, Joe Schacher, Dave Ellis, Tim Long and Shawn Smith were among those who made this submittal possible. I would like to make a special point of acknowledging the appreciation of the city of Moscow for Mr. Helm’s extraordinary efforts on our behalf.

We look forward to working with District 2 on current and future projects, and again I thank you and your staff for your timely and professional assistance.

Kevin Lilly, P.E.
City Engineer
City of Moscow
