Room for firearms seminar

Kathy Chase,
Manager, Business and Support Management

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing our agency to use your auditorium for our firearms seminar on July 14. I especially want to thank Sandy Harris, who not only provided assistance in scheduling room set-up and parking, but also assisted in contacting an IT person to help us set up the projection system.

Because of your support, 85 federal firearms licensees received training that will help them conduct their businesses in a manner that ensures the safety of the public. We could not have done this without the use of your facility.

Thanks again for your support.

Roadside assistance appreciated

District 1 Office, Coeur d’Alene

I would like to send my sincere thanks to two of the ITD employees – Philip Youngman and Chris Kiyoshi. On Tuesday, Sept. 9, I was on my way to a meeting in Wallace with a friend, Ruthie Johnson, in my car. As we were driving along I-90 eastbound near Silverton my rear tire on the passenger side of the car came apart, and I was able to get the car to the side of the freeway.

As I was getting out of the car, an ITD pick-up truck pulled in behind us and turned on its flashing lights to warn traffic of the danger. Philip Youngman, with the assistance of Chris Kiyoshi, took off the shredded tire and replaced it with my spare tire, while making sure that my friend and I stood in a safe location.

We were able to get to our meeting, almost on time, and would like to let you know that we both sincerely appreciate the assistance of these two ITD employees. What a wonderful service they provided to two stranded women, and what a blessing they were to us that day.
