In memoriam
Joe Peagler, who was responsible for ITD’s railroad crossing program and worked at ITD for about a decade, died recently in an automobile-motorcycle crash. The following obituary appeared in the Idaho Statesman Thursday (Dec. 4).

Obituary
Joseph H. Peagler, Lt. Col. Joseph H. Peagler, Lt. Col., United States Marine Corps (Ret.), age 55 of Boise, died suddenly near Wickenburg, Ariz. on Nov. 29.
He is survived by his parents, Jack and Mary Anne Peagler of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; sons Zachary and wife Shana Peagler of Birmingham, Ala., Matthew Peagler, Capt. Alfred Butler IV and wife Kylie, and Nickalos Butler and wife Kerry, all of Jacksonville, N.C.; grandchildren Lalah Anne Peagler, and Molly and Quinn Butler.
Joe was passionate about veteran’s issues, ski patrol and Idaho Special Olympics.
A memorial service was held today (Dec. 5) at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church at 2206 N. Cole Rd. in Boise. Burial, with full military honors, followed at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Boise, and a wake was planned at the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, 3308 Chinden, until 5 p.m. today (Dec. 5).
