On behalf of the transportation board,
have a Merry Christmas, happy holidays

It has been nearly two years since I was appointed chairman of the Idaho Transportation Board and more than 20 years since I served as the ITD’s first director. Much has changed in the past two decades, but I am grateful to see one thing has not – the professionalism and dedication of ITD’s staff.

Even during these difficult economic conditions, you remain focused on serving the people of Idaho. You have been called on to work more efficiently, to do more with less, and you have responded exceptionally well.

Transportation services in Idaho are capturing considerable attention – by Legislators, administrators and the public. Expectations have never been higher. You have risen to the challenge and in many cases have made personal sacrifices to improve transportation for all Idahoans.

Your efforts and accomplishments do not go unnoticed. On behalf of all seven board members, I want to express our most sincere appreciation for all that you do to maintain and operate a first-class transportation system.

We wish each of you continued success and hope that you have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful holiday season.
