TVs can be dropped off at Headquarters March 7

ITD’s Headquarters parking lot will become a temporary repository for discarded televisions that may be rendered obsolete by the transition to digital signals.
 
The Federal Communications Commission has ordered the move to all digital television signals on Feb. 17, although Congress is debating about whether to extend the conversion date to early summer.
 
In preparation for what is expected to be a deluge of unwanted conventional (analog) televisions, the city of Boise’s Public Works department has requested use of the ITD parking lot as a collection site on March 7.
