HQ parking lot to be used as repository March 7
for unwanted analog TVs, computer monitors

ITD’s parking lot behind the main building at Headquarters will become a repository for unwanted televisions and computer monitors on Saturday, March 7.

The department has volunteered the use of its parking lot from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the collection site. Residents of Ada County can drop off their analog televisions that will become obsolete when the transition to all-digital televisions goes into effect this summer. There is no charge for dropping off televisions and monitors.

ITD employees are asked not to park in the lot behind the Headquarters building after Friday evening. Anyone who needs to leave a vehicle parked overnight should use one of the other lots at the ITD campus. Vehicles still in the south parking lot will be moved to another lot to enable the hazardous waste collection, said facilities manager Mike Morehead.

The one-day event is for Ada County residents only, and no other household hazardous waste (HHW) will be accepted. County residents also may take televisions and monitors to regular HHW collection sites. For days and locations, call (208) 384-3901 or visit www.CityofBoise.org/Departments/Public_Works
