Engineers in Training to discuss projects
at annual conference in Boise

Nearly a dozen Engineers in Training from throughout the state will discuss their professional experiences of the past year when they assemble for the annual EIT conference April 6 in Boise.
 
The program begins with a message by ITD Chief Engineer Tom Cole and will include formal welcomes by Bryant Young and Mike McKee. EIT coordinator Matt Farrar, who also is the state bridge engineer, will follow with a presentation and then turn the program over to EIT participants who will discuss their projects.
 
Morning presenters include:

  • Justin Wuest (District 1)
  • Jake Legler (D-2)
  • Mckee (D-6)
  • Sharla Nelson (D-3)
  • Young (D-6)
  • Marc Danley (D-3)

The afternoon program will include a message by Director Pam Lowe and presentations by:

  • Scott Redding (D-5)
  • Doug Yearsley (D-4)
  • Tracy Bono (D-6)
  • Tyson Carpenter (D-5)
  • Nathen Herbst (D-1)

Erica Stoddard, an alumna of the EIT program, will talk to participants about ITD’s mentoring program at about 3:35 p.m., and a networking dinner will follow the daylong agenda from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
 
Many of the EIT participants will stay for the Project Design Conference scheduled in Boise April 7-8.
