Board formally thanks employees for service
To ITD employees
As members of the Idaho Transportation Board, we are fully aware of the many challenges you face each day in providing safe, convenient travel on our highways. It requires a level of dedication and professionalism that may not be readily apparent to those who use our system.
The Idaho Transportation Department has been the focal point of increasing reviews and audits the past few years, which means your contributions also have come under greater scrutiny. We view that as a positive. It gives each of you opportunities to demonstrate how well you do your job, and it gives us, as board members, opportunities to acknowledge how much we value your work.
Thanks to your efforts, the department achieved more than $27 million in savings the past fiscal year through Practical Design and much more through other efficiency efforts. That is cause to celebrate and for us to offer our sincerest thanks.
These are difficult economic times. That has translated to difficult times for the transportation industry and for all of us. But through it all, you have demonstrated a commitment to public service and professionalism that has been, and will continue to be, a hallmark of the transportation department.
We know you’re doing a good job.
