New partners adds to PerksCard value

The Perks pot has gotten a little sweeter.

A number of businesses recently joined the family of ITD friends that offer great discounts and savings for employees who present their PerksCard. See flyer for details

The program, which is free to both ITD employees and ITD as an employer, provides cardholders and their families discounts from “featured merchants.” In addition to local discounts, the PerksCard gives employees the ability to save through online shopping, printable coupons and gift card purchases.

New PerksCards will be available soon to replace those distributed when the program was introduced last year. Employees will need to register the new cards upon arrival because the card numbers and expiration dates are different than on the old cards. Registration can be completed at www.perkscard.com .

Contrary to instructions printed on the top of the new PerksCard, the activation code needed to register the cards is on the back.

Once cards are registered, employees will be able to view discounts from local “featured merchants” unique to ITD. New discounts to the program are added weekly, so employees are encouraged to check the PerksCard Web site often.

Feedback has been positive, and some employees made a special effort to stop into HRS to say how much they have saved on such things as air conditioning systems, dental work and meal discounts, said HRS Manager Mary Harker.

The online discounts allow employees all over the state to take advantage of savings. Employees also can go online to PerksCard and request to have other businesses added. PerksCard authorities will do all they can to get the business to participate.

PerksCards are available from ITD’s Human Resource Services. New ITD employees are given a PerksCard as part of their new employee package.
