New Idaho mobility Web site introduced

A new vision of mobility in Idaho has a new Web site where people can identify convenient, cost-effective and green mobility and public transportation options.

Mobilityidaho.org offers visitors information about and the opportunity to participate in the design and management of Idaho’s evolving efforts to move people from place to place by using a mix of transportation modes.

The Web site also serves as a central point through which citizens may plan and coordinate local mobility efforts by learning what others are doing across the state, what resources are available for expanding mobility options and accessing necessary documents.

“The new Web site provides easy, user-friendly navigation, offers an interactive calendar of events, and fosters and supports local participation in the mobility planning process,” said Randy Kyrias, administrator of ITD’s Division of Public Transportation.

A “Traveler’s Guide” links to modes of transportation available by region in the state and offers a link to RideshareOnline.com for Idaho commuters.

Site visitors can find updated information about local, regional and state mobility activities on one of three online calendars – Events, Planning and Funding. They also can view mobility news articles, sign up for mobility information updates and access a monthly statewide multi-modal ridership report.
