ITD to begin series of legislative meetings, Dec. 7

ITD administrators will meet with legislators next month in each of the department’s six districts to discuss transportation issues and the 2010 legislative sessions.

The Legislative outreach meetings begin Dec. 7 in Shoshone at the District 4 office from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The other five stops are:

  • Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., District 5 office, 5151 South 5th, in Pocatello
  • Tuesday, Dec. 8, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., District 6 office, 206 North Yellowstone, Rigby
  • Monday, Dec. 14, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., District 3 office, 8150 Chinden Blvd., Boise
  • Tuesday, Dec. 15, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., District 1 office, 600 W. Prairie Coeur d’Alene
  • Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., District 2 office, 2600 Frontage Road, Lewiston

ITD representatives will provide a brief overview of subjects to be presented during the coming session, including the department’s proposed FY 11 budget request, proposed legislation, performance and efficiency measures and the accountability.

Most of the discussion, however, will be be determined by the interests and questions of legislators.
