D-1's Storjohann completing third year of term
as regional Order of Eastern Star coordinator

Andrea Paroni Storjohann, Assistant District Engineer in District 1, is completing a three-year term as the Northwest Region Coordinator for the Visionquest Program of the General Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

The Visionquest Program is a leadership development program for Eastern Star members and as coordinator Storjohann is responsible for the program in the four northwestern states of Idaho, Montana, Washington and Oregon and the three western Canadian provinces (British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan).

Storjohann will complete her duties at the conclusion of the General Grand Chapter triennial sessions in Tulsa held Oct. 31-Nov. 5.

During the last three years, Storjohann has traveled extensively to Eastern Star activities - attending sessions in the District of Columbia, four Canadian provinces and 18 states. She also has traveled to three Chapters in Mexico, in Monterrey and Mexico City, and to the meeting of the United Grand Chapter of Scotland in Dundee.

The Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization in the world to which both men and women may belong. Worldwide there are approximately 1 million members under the General Grand Chapter with chapters located throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Japan, Philippines, Bolivia, Brazil, Peru, Venezuela, Germany, Italy, and Romania.

Purpose and goal is to provide an organization where women and men with high moral character, can gain personal growth and development and also contribute to the good of all mankind throughout the world.

Local Eastern Star Chapters select their own charities and places of service in their own communities. They may include general scholarships for youth, supporting medical research (cancer, Alzheimer’s and heart), youth activities, and supporting a home for aged members.

Storjohann has been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 35 years, always belonging to Shoshone Chapter in Wallace, where this year she is the Worthy Matron (local leader), and also through the years, serving as a dual member in Pocatello, Boise, Paul and currently of Clover Chapter in Rathdrum. She was Worthy Grand Matron of the state of Idaho in 2001-02.
