Web users can watch Rock Creek bridge
grow from the ground up

A live look at the Twin Falls Alternate Route Rock Creek crossing is now available for people interested in the current status of construction, the Idaho Transportation Department has announced.

The construction cameras are designed to capture the daily progress during the removal of the dirt fill and construction of the new Rock Creek bridge. In addition to serving as a historical record of the project, the cameras also will give the public an opportunity to watch the least visible portion of the Twin Falls Alternate Route being built over the coming months.

“The cameras not only will serve ITD in capturing the construction procedures as it records part of this new corridor, but we think the public will really enjoy watching as the project continues and the bridge rises from the floor of the canyon,” said District 4 Resident Engineer Kimbol Allen .

The site offers two angles of the work – from both the north and south – and updates images every 15 minutes. All pictures taken since the cameras were installed are available by calendar date and time of day. The site offers a zoom tool, time lapse photography, as well as print and save options for all pictures.
