ITD shares 'central issue' benefits at Capitol event

Information about Idaho's move later this year to centralized issuance of driver's licenses and identification cards reached a new audience this week. Division of Motor Vehicles representatives joined other vendors at the state Capitol Wednesday for "Buy Idaho Day." The special day is set aside during each Legislative session as a visual forum for Idaho products and services.

ITD has participated regularly at the Capitol event, providing information about DMV services, the 511 Traveler Information system and technology. The transition to a sole source for driver's licenses and ID cards should occur by the end of this year, providing greater security and cost benefits.
