ITD employees lead sessions at annual 'Safety Fest'

Darrell Manning, Devin Rigby; Cheryl Rost; Trey Mink; Randy Norris

I want to thank you for the unwavering support we received from the ITD during the Pocatello Safety Fest last week. The Safety Fest, held for the first time in Pocatello, was a huge success with over 40 different classes provided to approximately 630 attendees free of charge.

Trey Mink, with the assistance of Randy Norris, also from District 4, presented two OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training classes at the Pocatello Armory and Fairgrounds on April 2 and 22. Trey and Randy are outstanding trainers with a wealth of field experience that brings instant credibility to their presentations and allows them to easily connect with the attendees.

Over the two-day period, Trey and Randy had 59 students in their two classes. The students represented both the private and public sectors. The types of contractors and organizations represented in the classroom were the Shoshone Bannock Tribes, Irrigation & Transportation Department, TERO, ISU Technology Building Construction, plumbing contractors, excavation contractors, electrical contractors, and paving contractors, just to name a few.

Thank you again for your support and we look forward to the ITD’s continuing participation in the Safety Fests of the Great Northwest.
