New website unveiled for I-way mobility program

Idaho’s mobility movement has a new online home – www.i-way.org .

I-way.org is designed as an online resource for both mobility partners and stakeholders as well as others interested in learning about what options exist in Idaho today and how they can get involved in their local efforts.

For those involved in the local mobility coordination process, all “technical documentation” related to the local mobility plans, district plans, and other importation funding information, applications and information, are accessed by clicking the “Technical Documentation” link in the left sidebar. I-way tool kits and support materials also are available there.

The site also is home to “Getting Around Idaho” – a resource designed to help individuals identify ways to travel in Idaho via car and vanpool (www.RideshareOnline.com ), fixed route providers (www.511.idaho.gov ), bike, and walking. “Getting Around Idaho” also will be home to the I-way Provider Resource this fall. The Provider Resource will allow visitors to enter search criteria and find providers in an area of specific transportation needs.

"We are also excited to announce the new I-way blog! Bloggers will include folks from CTAI, district mobility managers, the Division of Public Transportation and other mobility champions," according to a formal announcement this week. Topics will range from local activities and national trends to technology. Anyone interested in submitting a blog topic should e-mail Kristin McGee at kmcgee@ctai.org .

"Share I-way.org with your friends and family! Anyone can register to receive e-mail communications regarding I-way information – it’s easy to sign up, and you decide what type of information you’d like to receive," the announcement indicates.
