Icon Credit Union announces its move to a new location in the Coeur d’Alene marketplace. Beginning in October, the credit union branch will be relocated to 1336 W. Kathleen Ave. in Coeur d’Alene. Icon has outgrown the existing branch at 1839 N. Government Way and is excited to present the beautifully-renovated facility as its new home for Coeur d’Alene members to visit. The building was purchased in July of 2010 and was formerly the Coeur d’Alene Teacher’s Credit Union, across from Ramsey Elementary School.

Icon’s new branch features drive-up services, an expanded teller line, additional staff, coffee and a comfortable waiting area with internet access. Icon currently has three branch locations in Boise, one in La Grande, Oregon and one in Coeur d’Alene. Icon offers Savings and Checking accounts, CDs, Home Loans, Auto, RV and Boat Loans, Personal Loans for special events and times in life, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), Pet Insurance and Savings Programs, and so much more.

There will be a “Members Only” Behind-the-Scenes Open House on Tuesday, Oct. 19 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A ribbon-cutting Ceremony is planned Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 4:30 p.m. followed by an open house until 7 p.m. Icon will serve refreshments and offer family activities. Stop by and see the new location.

Icon Credit Union, formerly Idahy, was created by state transportation officials in Boise and has been serving members for more than 58 years. It has operated a Coeur d’Alene branch since 1952 through its acquisition of Sho-Pan-Hi Credit Union in 2003. Icon is a not-for-profit financial cooperative that is owned and democratically governed by its members. Unlike other types of financial institutions, credit unions return their profits back to their members in the form of better rates and lower fees on products and services.
