Campaign gives employees opportunity to help Idaho's communities

When the times get tough, the “haves” dig deeper and give more freely.

Last year ITD employees rallied to contribute a generous $20,843 to organizations statewide through the annual state “United We Care” charitable campaign for United Way. The goal this year, explains coordinator Tammie Jauregui is $22,500.

“This campaign has proved to be a perfect opportunity for you to donate to all your charitable organizations directly through a payroll deduction,” Jauregui said. “No more having to write out multiple checks each month to all the different agencies and groups requesting your help.”

Many of the qualifying charitable organizations are listed on the State Employees’ Charitable Giving website: http://www/unitedwecasre.idaho.gov .

“The Idaho State Employee Campaign has contracted with United Way to administer, collect and distribute employee contributions through payroll deductions and/or one-time gifts. This single distribution system keeps the costs of conducting a workplace campaign to a minimum, something we all strive for,” Jauregui said.

Choose the “contribute” tab on the state website for a list of regional organizations supported through United Way.

One-time contributions are welcome. To make a one-time donation or to set up a payroll deduction, complete a donation form located on the campaign website. Please complete the form and make a copy for your records. Submit the original to your respective personnel technician in the district offices. Headquarters employees should send the original form to Diane Page in Human Resource Services.

“Let’s make this year a meaningful one for people who truly need our support,” ITD’s coordinator said. “Thank you in advance for your generous gift.”
