Texting while driving presentation planned at HQ

Welcome to the age of two-thumbed communication, also know as text messaging.

While it has revolutionized the way people use cell phones, it also has produced a groundswell of concern and legislation to prohibit texting while driving. Even if you don’t engage in texting while driving, it’s likely happening in a number of vehicles surrounding you on the highways.

ITD’s safety committee at Headquarters will sponsor a “Texting While Driving,” seminar Wednesday (Feb. 2) in the Auditorium. Meridian police officer John Gonzales will give the one-hour presentation at 10 a.m. The presentation is open to ITD employees, family members and friends.
