Grand & artistic entry to Sandpoint

Sue Higgins, Idaho Transportation Board Secretary,

It was encouraging to talk with you some months ago about my wish to express my appreciation for the artistic panels on the retaining wall of the overpass at the north end of the Long Bridge. Gratitude for the inspiration to place the mountains of Idaho in concrete, so beautifully rendered, is reinforced every time I drive past, as well as my admiration for those who lent their talents to this welcome contribution to public art.

Please give the members of the Idaho Transportation Board my thanks, as well as the artist, the Idaho Transportation Department engineers and your public information officers who I'm sure would like to hear how happily their efforts have been received.
