From Nursing Home, Long-Term Care, or Chronic Health Care Costs

Icon Credit Union, created as a financial institution for the transportation community, will present a one-hour workshop on protecting your home while at the same time planning for long-term health care. The free workshop will beThursday, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Doubletree Riverside, 2900 W. Chinden in Boise.

You should attend this workshop if:

• You want to know how to protect your home and other assets for your spouse and children in case you need nursing home or other expensive long-term care.
• You have a spouse, parent (or other family member) who needs daily help in the home (such as help dressing, in the bathroom, with meals, at night, with medications, or can’t be left alone) .
• You have a spouse, parent (or other family member) who lives in an assisted living facility or nursing home and you want to learn how to have the government pay for that care.
• You have a spouse, parent (or other family member) who has a chronic health care problem, has had a progressive decline, or has had a stroke or a fall.
• You want to learn about the estate planning you need to do now to protect your life savings for yourself and your family.
