Free document shredding offered Saturday at Headquarters

Don’t burn it, or bury it. Shred it.

ITD employees in the Boise area can securely dispose of financial records and personal documents without contributing to landfills by shredding the paper Saturday (April 16). The annual shredding activity, which is open to the public, is planned for the ITD Headquarters parking lot from 10 a.m. to noon.

A Cintas shredder will operate in front of the Headquarters building, and Western Records Destruction will operate in the back. The free shredding is a joint effort of the Better Business Bureau, ITD and Icon Credit Union. ITD will provide informational bags to participants; Icon donated funds for advertising and promotion.

BBB affiliates across the country have designated Saturday (April 16) as free shredding day. The goal, according to organizers, is to serve at least 700 “customers” this year in Boise.
