New eastbound configurations for motorists at I-84 Garrity Interchange
BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department advises motorists traveling eastbound on Interstate 84 to expect changes at the Garrity Interchange starting tonight (Tuesday, May 17).
I-84 EASTBOUND THROUGH TRAFFIC
- The right lane of eastbound I-84 near Robinson Road will be closed from 10 p.m. tonight to 5 a.m. tomorrow morning.
I-84 EASTBOUND ON-RAMP
- Traffic on the I-84 eastbound on-ramp will be shifted to the left (north) to allow on-ramp construction. Concrete barriers will separate ramp traffic from both mainline traffic and the work zone. This configuration will remain in place for most of the ramp construction.
The project is expected to be completed this summer, with three lanes open in each direction on I-84 over the bridge, eventually connecting with a fourth lane in each direction east of the interchange.
