“Move Over” law expansion extends safety protections to responders such as ITD workers
Another significant step to ensure employee safety on the roadsides was taken March 27 as the “Move Over” law expansion was signed into law. The new law extends protections to include responders to a roadside emergency, such as ITD workers and tow operators operating with flashing lights.
Spring employee service awards at ITD Headquarters celebrates 620 years
The service awards at Headquarters March 21 honored 44 employees with a combined 620 years of service to ITD and the people of Idaho, including an employee who was recognized for a whopping 50 years of service.

It's not easy. The employee is hoisted 15 or more feet in the air, then must hold the sign in the correct location while also holding a drill in one hand and placing the self-tapping screw on the end of the drill bit. It can be stressful. "Extremely difficult" is also appropriate.
