Construction of North Fork Payette Bridge near Cascade begins in April
Reconstruction of the North Fork Payette Bridge along Idaho 55, north of Cascade, will begin in mid-April and wrap up this fall. Previously implemented load restrictions on the old bridge, built in 1950, will be fully lifted with construction of the new bridge.

Projects will start once contracts are awarded, construction is arranged and weather allows.

ITD issues legislative identification cards to members of the House and Senate
In the first week of March, 44 House members and 22 Senators received legislative identification cards from ITD’s Driver Services during a two-day event at the Idaho Statehouse. The department provides this service to the legislative body every two years, and has prepared these IDs for nearly two decades.

Encore (03-13-15): Lack of winter allows ITD northern Idaho crews to get jump on road striping with new cold-weather paint
For the first time in decades, northern Idaho had nothing resembling its usual winter. The Coeur d’Alene/Post Falls area had the lowest levels of snowpack and precipitation recorded in years. A half-inch dusting on the last day of February was the only thing that kept that month from being one of the driest winter months on record for the region.
