Defying perceptions, exceeding expectations: Idaho Transportation Department named finalist for Innovative Company of the Year
Creative, dynamic and customer-focused are typically not the first descriptors that come to mind when thinking of a state agency. Defying that perception, the Idaho Transportation Department was recently named a finalist for Idaho Innovative Company of the Year by the Idaho Technology Council.

Department honors
Three ITD projects make Idaho Business Review Top Projects list
Three Idaho projects were named to the Idaho Business Review’s 2016 Top Projects list in Transportation Sept. 22 in Boise. Pocatello’s South Valley Connector, a collaborative effort in southeast Idaho with ITD serving as the resident engineer on this City project, was rated at the top of the category.

The Good Samaritan – customer service at its best
Of all the things done by the Idaho Transportation Department, improving customer service sits at the top of the list. So it is encouraging when one of our citizens takes the time to express gratitude for the great service - punctuated by kindness and compassion - done by one of our employees.

Blader innvation saves project and personnel time
A recent innovation from the District 5 shop allows greater flexibility in the use of the motor grader in removing materials that were previously inaccessible and required crew members to perform on their own.

Public comment sought on location of ITD south-central district facility
The Idaho Transportation Department is taking public comment regarding a facilities report for the District 4 administrative building, located in Shoshone. Through Oct. 28, the public is invited to comment on the substance of the report and potential locations of the administration building.
