Employee Safety
Shoveling done right!
This winter has been an extraordinary one in the Southwest Idaho area - it has been the snowiest winter around the Headquarters/District 3 area in at least 30 years. There have also been some extra efforts made by ITD employees in response to the unusual winter.

District 5 - Innovation
D5 proposes update to oil-change system to improve safety, enhance efficiency
Using local Blackfoot companies to replenish the fluids used by the state in their oil-change system will improve the safety and efficiency of the current system, while a new storage system incorporating clear plastic totes will aid in determining product levels.

Office of Highway Safety
Corder is newest addition to ITD's Office of Highway Safety
One of the many presents for the Office of Highway Safety team this Christmas season came to ITD courtesy of the staff of Meridian City — new grants officer Ken Corder, who will focus his efforts on the impaired-driving issue.

Gold Fork River Bridge replacement south of Donnelly earns Engineering Excellence recognition
Replacement of the 69-year-old Gold Fork River Bridge south of Donnelly, completed in late October, recently won a first-place award in the Structural Systems category from the ACEC (American Council of Engineering Companies) of Idaho in their Engineering Excellence Awards.
