The Idaho Transportation Department is national finalist for communication efforts related to the Innovate ITD! program. The national honor is in the category “PR on a Shoestring Budget” from the national group PR News. ITD is one of eight finalists competing for the honor from entries across the country.

ITD From the Vault (January 1987): Veteran PI Chief Steps Down
Veteran ITD Public Information Officer, well-known newsman and former TV personality Bill Harvey retired from the department on Dec. 30, 1986, ending a 20-year career with the State. A 27-year old, blonde kid from Pocatello -- Jeff Stratten -- took his place.
