Highway Maintenance
As pothole repairs take center stage, ITD creates new webpage to address issue
As this historic winter marches on, potholes are developing in roadway surfaces across the state. Record precipitation and multiple freeze-thaw cycles are causing distress in many of the highways we rely on for safe travel to home and work, school and recreation. The department has added a new page to the website to address a few of these concerns.

ITD's Office of Communication collaborating with Office of Highway Safety to "move dial" on driver behavior, effective outreach
The Office of Highway Safety and the Office of Communication are working on bringing consistency to future distracted driving messages. The goal is to create campaigns that focus on making actual behavioral changes versus just creating awareness.

Transportation Funding
President's infrastructure plan includes $138 billion in potential projects
Infrastructure spending was a big part of the rhetoric for President Trump on the campaign trail. Now that he's in the White House, it has become more than talk. In his first days in office, the new President unveiled a list of 50 potential projects, totaling about $138 billion.
