Eagle Road water-pipe break fixed, traffic restored in just 48 hours
A water line break under Eagle Road flooded the highway just south of Fairview Avenue on Monday night. Just 48 hours later it had been dianosed, excavated, repaired, repaved, and traffic restored. This was both impressive and imperitive, as it is the most heavily traveled section of non-interstate highway in Idaho.

National paving group awards ITD north-central Idaho project
The National Asphalt and Paving Association awarded a north-central Idaho project that finished last fall for a high-quality final product. The award went to the project’s contractor, Knife River, but is primarily a win for the region’s drivers.

As many of you know, employees from across the entire Department have been in overdrive as the 2018 Idaho Legislature is in session. Yes, there have been some late nights and a bit of internal anguish as we try to decipher the impacts of all the ideas generated from downtown. ITD shares innovation success via public-facing webpage
ITD's innovation program is one of the nation's best, but those successes were often hidden from view behind an internal security firewall. Now, thanks to a new public-facing webpage, those successes can be shared with others outside the organization.

DMV
Surplus county workstations donated to Idaho schools
After the department replaced the county DMV workstations with more powerful computers and larger monitors, it had 400 older units to dispose of. So, instead of sending them to the landfill, the department donated the units to Idaho school districts and the YMCA.
