Employees share culture survey thoughts
Every one of ITD’s 1,565 employees across the state plays a part in shaping the department’s culture. The first step on that journey started on March 5, as employees were sent the survey email and were asked to give their opinion on our current culture and work environment.

District Collaboration

Williams joins ITD Communication office serving south-central region
Jessica Williams, longtime Idahoan and recent Bureau of Land Management (BLM) employee, has been serving the ITD District 4 area since February 1. At the Bureau of Land Management, she worked as a technical writer/jack of all trades.

D1 tests new traffic infrastructure in CDA
To improve mobility at a major intersection in Coeur d’Alene, District 1 traffic engineers activated a new signal function in December — double flashing yellow arrows.

Public transit planning, metro planning, employee service awards highlight Idaho Transportation Board’s March meeting
Valley Regional Transit’s short-range plan for public transit in the Treasure Valley, discussions about the Metropolitan Planning Organization in south-central Idaho, employee service awards, and a tour of Idaho State Police’s forensic lab highlight the Idaho Transportation Board’s March 14-15 meeting.

Department Customer Service
ITD enhances maps to ramp up ADA program
The Idaho Transportation Department recently enhanced the mapping tools used for the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) Curb and Ramp Program, allowing communities in Idaho to more accurately and quickly apply for funds to enhance the mobility of disabled citizens. The new tools also help ITD track program compliance among program participants.
