Winther again wins District 2 equipment roadeo title
The annual ITD equipment roadeo season is now underway, as District 2 kicked off the 2019 events last Thursday (May 16) with about 15 participants converging on the Dworshak Dam site in Orofino. When the dust cleared, Ty Winther emerged with yet another district title.

ITD fielded a bridge complaint from the public, then quickly collaborated on a solution
The backbone of good customer service is a rapid, thorough response, so when a member of the public commented on excessive erosion at the base of the ID-33 Canyon Creek Bridge between Newdale and Clementsville, ITD went to work on a solution. Within just a few days, the repair was complete.

Adopt-A-Highway volunteers find treasures among the trash
Overlooked and underappreciated, those who collect trash along Idaho’s highways give more than they receive. But amongst the discarded plastic, paper and aluminum, Adopt-A-Highway volunteers Mike Harkins and Gretchen Sherlin have found their own reward.

The 100 Deadliest Days begin on Idaho's roads
Memorial Day weekend is upon us and with it, the unofficial beginning of summer. The holiday also marks the beginning of the most dangerous season on our roads - the time between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend. There were 234 traffic fatalities in Idaho in 2018, 102 of those people were killed in crashes during this timeframe.
