Eighteen months ago, Tyler Carrico and Nancy Casperson embarked on a journey that would re-shape them, as employees and as people, as ITD’s first class of Emerging Leaders kicked off. Already a highly successful program at the WASHTO level, the department decided to bring the training to Idaho.

Transporter continues to grow into effective employee outreach tool
There are more than 3,000 unique employee views of the Transporter and its stories each week, more than a 473% increase compared to the low point just a few years ago. Several changes have been made in order to make the newsletter a viable employee-outreach tool.

District 3
D3 Traffic overpowers weeds for safety
D3's Traffic section recently took on a weed-infested courtyard area on the District 3 campus as part of their July staff meeting. The weeds were becoming a safety hazard for the district's nearly 300 employees, so the area was cleaned up as a safety/team building exercise.
