ITD unveils first-ever Critical Incident Stress Management class
After several years of development and planning, ITD launched its first-ever Critical Incident Stress Management class. The course taught members in attendance how to reach out and offer assistance to fellow employees traumatized by what they have seen and experienced as responders.

Threat Detection
Personnel improve safety by identifying threats to snowplows through GIS hazard maps
Maintenance crews are involved in an ongoing effort to identify obstacles and hazards that can damage or wreck expensive equipment. Those that travel the roads every day are familiar with the specific hazards, but they are often not known by a new employee. There's a new tool to map out all of the challenges on highway routes that snowplow drivers need to be aware of.

Technology
Employee desk phones to be upgraded - UPDATED SCHEDULE
The desk phones of all employees will be upgraded soon as the department moves to more securely link our phones to our computers, and the viable lifespan of the old phone system draws to a close. The phones installation will roll out by the end of the year throughout headquarters, and from January to May in the districts.
