Bovill’s $4,000 phone call
Four thousand dollars in Bovill currency roughly translates into four calves. So when D1 operator Larry Aolor saw a few calves standing in foot-deep snow with more on their backs while on routine patrol a few weeks ago, he knew they weren’t where they were supposed to be.

Office of Highway Safety
ITD Office of Highway Safety sponsoring state high school basketball tourneys as part of rural outreach
ITD’s efforts to improve seat belt usage hits the hardwood as the best basketball teams from across the state head to the Treasure Valley in early March for the Idaho High School Basketball Championships. This is all part the Office of Highway Safety’s "Rules to LVE By" campaign to encourage seat belt use in rural Idaho.

Historical Markers, Communication highlights, DMV status, and Kempton as vice chair highlight February board meeting
The Idaho Transportation Board’s Feb. 2020 meeting featured an update on the Historical Marker Sign Program, a presentation of 2019 initiatives by the Office of Communication, and a DMV status update. The meeting in Boise also saw the board officially re-elect Jim Kempton as vice chairman.
