Southeast Idaho trio earns Top 5 honors at Western Snow & Ice skills competition
For the better part of two decades, ITD has sent the winners of the state roadeo competition to Colorado each fall to test their equipment skills and knowledge against the region’s best at the Western Snow & Ice Conference. Over the years, a few ITD individuals have placed high in the competition. This year, a trio from southeast Idaho added their names to that exclusive list.

White and DMV team break record issuing titles in July
Marvin White, a technical record specialist from the Division of Motor Vehicles, illustrated how combining leadership, drive and flexibility can be used to positively change workplace culture. At the Vehicle Services Department’s monthly staff meeting, his team of 12 people discussed how to modernize and improve their current situation with titling procedures.

The Blackfoot City Transportation Commission recently recognized District 5 traffic engineer Corey Krantz for a quick and thorough response to a question of traffic signals and flow. The commission is a citizen advisory group appointed by the city council.

Transportation Board
Encore (10-24-14): Board hears program updates, learns about data-collection activities
At its monthly meeting Oct. 15 in Boise, the transportation board heard a report on the Community Choices for Idaho program, received an update on the Mobility Management Program contract and learned about data collection activities conducted by the Transportation Systems Office.

Encore (10-24-14): Kuisti’s first year as Lewiston district engineer features challenges and achievements
The first year of anything is a time of significant, often unavoidable change, as the individual learns to (or is forced to, in some cases) grow and adapt to a new reality. For Dave Kuisti, the new district engineer in Lewiston, the last 12 months have been filled with challenges, obstacles, and ultimately, accomplishments. And the traffic light that gave him an unmistakable Panhandle message.
