Impaired driving and highway safety among Board monthly reviews
After a combined tour of Districts 5 and 6, including a visit to the Teton Valley May 20, the board conducted its business meeting in Pocatello May 21. The Board heard discussions on drugged driving, highway-safety performance, a pair of public-transit appointments, and a review of the D5 annual report.

D5 family celebrates year of achievements
The foremen and managers in District 5 hosted their annual employee appreciation event Thursday morning, May 28. The District provided brunch for employees at the Pocatello maintenance shop, with about 115 of the 145 employees in attendance.

Hailey Maintenance thanked for barbed-wire removal from bike path
Hailey maintenance foreman Steve Porter and his crew removed more than a mile of old barbed wire along a bike path from Ohio Gulch to the Big Wood River in early March, prompting a letter of appreciation from resident Daralene Finnell.
