Hazmat teams respond to Thursday call from ITD Headquarters
More than 500 employees at ITD Headquarters were locked down last Thursday after an envelope containing white powder was opened. Boise police and Hazmat responders arrived at the department’s Boise campus just after noon, following a report of an unknown substance in the building.

Spalding Bridge Scour Repair project also wins Washington AGC award
The scour repair project on the Clearwater River Bridge in Lewiston, recognized for an AASHTO Innovation Initiative and winner of an AASHTO President’s Award for Environment, also was an winning entry for West Company (Airway Heights, Wash.) in the Washington State Associated General Contractors “Build Northwest” awards in the Inland Chapter.

Encore (07-31-15): Trimboli takes helm at Office of Communications Monday (Aug. 3)
A new face will grace the Office of Communications starting Monday, as Vince Trimboli takes the controls as manager after a 21-month vacancy, during which Governmental Affairs Manager Mollie McCarty served as acting manager for long-time chief Jeff Stratten.

Encore (07-31-15): Spalding Bridge project wins award for environmental considerations
The Spalding Bridge repair project in Lewiston, completed in early fall 2014, has been recognized yet again by a national transportation organization. The first recognition, several months ago, was for innovation. This time, the project was honored by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) for an environmental stewardship award.
