South Valley Connector competing to be “I Build America” finalist
Pocatello’s South Valley Connector project is one of the 20 projects nationwide competing to be a finalist in the “I Build America” Construction Impact awards. The public is voting for their favorites at the website below. The top eight vote-getters through midnight April 24 secure a spot in the next round of voting.

Jacobsen, already the record-holder at 57 years of state service, shoots for 60…and beyond
Where were you in 1959? Some of us were still a gleam in a parent's eyes, some were young kids or teenagers, and very few had any sort of meaningful job. But Terry Jacobsen was already on the clock with ITD. Fifty-seven years later, he's still on the clock, working toward a Diamond anniversary. That's right — he's going for 60.

Adopt-A-Highway
It's spring — roadways statewide available for adoption as roadside litter cleanup time arrives
While each political election cycle and scores of new businesses inundate us daily with new slogans, a familiar phrase perfectly describes this time of year on Idaho highways – “Idaho Is Too Great To Litter.” The 1990 campaign is still active and appealing to volunteer groups throughout Idaho. And more volunteers are needed.

ITD looking for alternative transportation project applications through June 1
Ensuring mobility throughout the state frequently involves more than just a passenger vehicle and a highway — it also involves bicycle and pedestrian mobility — so the Idaho Transportation Department, through the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP), is looking for applicants to help grow these options over the next three years. Applications are due by June 1.

Encore (04-08-16): Broadway Interchange and Gowen Ralroad Bridges project earns ACEC of Idaho Excellence award
The recently completed project to replace the traditional Broadway Interchange with a SPUI structure and replace the railroad bridges leading to Gowen Road, earned a first-place award from the ACEC of Idaho in Engineering Excellence, Transportation.
